Thanks for stopping by. This space is devoted to our life in the Italian countryside. In the furthest northern part of Tuscany. A region known as Lunigiana. I am a photo/prop stylist and author.
What’s happening at La Fortezza this week: Let’s go hiking.
The area we live in, the Lunigiana, is known for phenomenal hiking. There is hiking for all levels. It’s a mecca for outdoorsmen and women. We visited two small villages this weekend. My friend Arlene is an avid hiker. Whenever she visits, I try to figure out where to take her. Frank also loves to hike, so we woke up early on Friday and headed out. The first stop was Tresana. We parked and walked to the trailhead, about 5 minutes away. It was incredible, and the sun was shining. Perfection. The trail took us through a farm field, and of course, there was a challenging incline to the town of Tresana. We then looped around on the road, looking at all the beautiful properties along the way. You can see Tresana on my YouTube channel; there are two cute apartments for sale and one home with a few problems. See last week’s real-estate video for the tour.
